Lathwells is in Cooper Street, a narrow, cobbled street leading from Bideford quay into the centre of the town. The street is one of the oldest in Bideford; it retains the atmosphere of the old port on the river Torridge, and at the same time is the hub of the present-day town, bustling with locals and holidaymakers both old and young.
